Award Participation Rules

Eligibility

Nominee Materials & Materials for Annual Business Listings

Participation is open to legally registered businesses operating in Kelowna, including Rutland, West Kelowna, and Lake Country, British Columbia. Nominees must be in good standing with local regulatory bodies. Organizers may request information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility.

by submitting logos, business descriptions, photographs or other materials for the awatrds program and/or for the annual local business listing, you confirm that you have the necessary rights or permoissionsto submit them. You grant Kelowna's Finest a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish and display those materials for administering and promoting the awards program, and creating, maintaining and promoting the annual business listings. including on the website, social media, nominee announcements, and awards- related publicly. The licence does not transfer ownership of the submitted materials.

Voting & Selection

Winners are determined through a combination of public voting and independent judging. We maintain strict anti-fraud measures; any attempt to manipulate voting counts will lead to immediate review and potential disqualification.

Conduct & Disqualification

Attendees and nominees are expected to maintain professional conduct during all related events. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant for unethical behavior, misrepresentation, or violation of these terms.

Changes to the Awards Program

Organizers may make reasonable changes to awards categories, schedules, or program procedures where necessary. If the material change affects participants, reasonable efforts will be made to communicate the change through the website or other appropriate channels. If circumstances beyond the organizers reasonable control require a postponement, suspension or cancellation of the awards program, organizers will communicate relevant updates as soon as reasonably possible.

Logo and Name Usage

The Kelowna's Finest name, logo and original branding may not be used in a way that falselysuggests official endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation without authorization. Nominees and winners may use official badges supplied by the organizers to accurately identify their nominee or winner status. and logo are trademarks of our organization. Nominees and winners are granted a limited, revocable license to use the 'Nominee' or 'Winner' digital assets for promotional purposes in accordance with our brand guidelines.

Liability & Legal

Kelowna's Fines organizers and affiliates provide this site and participation in the awards 'as is.' and "as available" basis. We make responsible efforts to maintain the website and administer the awards process fairly, but we can not guarantee uninterupted access, error-free operation, or specific award outcomes.

To the extent permited by applicable law, Kelowna's Finest and its organizers are not liable for losses or damages arising from the use of this website or participation in the awards program, including loss of business, profits, data, or other indirect losses.

Nominations, votes, and public participation do not guarantee an award. Winners are determined according to the awards program's applicable rules and procedures..

These terms of use are governed by the laws of British Columbia, and the applicable laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bitish Columbia, subject to applicable law..
